This initial drawing
of a volunteer formation program is divided into three phases:
PHASE I (Trial I – Applicant Candidate)
The trial period of the
new recruits including the recruitment process specifically seeks to:
Improve
the formation of old volunteers
Involve
more members of the institution in volunteerism work
Establish
within the group a sense of community
Phase I activities
include:
Core
Volunteer Program
Recruitment
of Volunteers
Basic
Orientation Seminar
Team
Building Workshop
PHASE II (Probationary)
The second trial period
is wherein the new volunteers are basically introduced to the nature of the Community
Extension Office. It specifically seeks to:
Orient
the volunteers in their future work in CESO.
Inform
them on the nature and thrust of the CESO programs.
Provide
spiritual sense in accomplishing the shared mission of DLSL.
PHASE III (Full Pledge)
The persevering recruits
are given an experimental learning of their future volunteerism work to be able
to make them:
Discover
through experience the meaning of volunteerism
Empower
and teach self-reliance to all volunteers
Recognize
the work of God in the world
These three stages of
formation lead to the acceptance of the probationary into a full-pledged
volunteer.
