Discussion:

Ms. Cely Saludo Introduced the officers, as well as the former, of the organization. She mentioned that she talked to Mr. Panganiban and he said that SBL is a new sructure of the former BM Society.

Ms. Saludo discussed the following:

During the said discussion, Ms. Saludo acknowledge the effort made by Mr. Gregorio "Jong" Martinez Jr., the co-adviser. She said that there is really an importance for communication. She said that they are willing to give assistance to the organization. It is very important for the organization to have a sisterhood and brotherhood relationship. The personality should be contingent.

After Ms. Saludo, Mr Jong Martinez headed the discussion. Mr. Martinez told the steps on introducing oneself. First, is to give nicknames and do or say any expression that will made others remember the person. Mr. Martinez added that they should include their birthdaym, age and section.

Mr. Martinez said that participant should settle, first, and relax. The group will conduct an evening praise. he said that "God talks in silence!" He talked about the backgrounds of the prayer. He started to make the group feel relaxed.

  • STEPS FOR THE PRAYER SESSION:
  • 1. Meditative song
    2. Reading of the Bible
    3. Another song (sing along or humm...)
    4. Every one is invited to say his own prayer while touching or holding the Crucifix

    There is a ten(10) minute break.

    The activity resumes at 12:50 am.

    The activity is about "disclosure of ourselves." Mr. Martinez explained to the group about the instructions. he emphasized that the activity will only be for three (3) minutes. A quetionnaire was passed to the group. It is reminded that the group start at the time. Mr. Martinez discussed another activity, which is related to the quiz about disclosure. The instruction is to draw a quadrant at the back of the paper and this quadrant is called "Joharis Window."

    The said activity has a span of fifteen (15) minutes. Mr. Martinez asked the participants to keep the questionnaire because it will be used in the evaluation on how we really yourself and also what kind of personality we have.

    Mr. Martinez asked the participant to get their scarf or handkerchief for the next activity. The activity is entitled "Trust wlak." The next activity is participated by the officers. The instructions were blindfold the participants and the understudy group will check if we are not cheating on our blindfold. Then the next instruction is that we should listen and follow our and follow our guide. The guide will only say where to go but they are not allowed to guide the participant by holding. The participants and the guide were assigned to different places like rooms 217 and 218 and some are in the ramps. The lights were turned off. Mr. Martinez informed the guides to scare the participants. After the guides and the participants are in their designated places, the guides left the participants. Afterwards the guides said to count 1- 50 then they can take off their blindfold. After the participants take of their blindfold, all lights from the room and ramps are still turned off, then few minutes later it was turned on. The participants and guide were asked to go back to the room. The participants were given a few minutes to take a break. The said activity lasted for forty-five (45) minutes.

    The next activity is for the understudy group entitled "Trust Fall." First they were ask to blindfold themselves and then to be checked by the officers. Mr. Martinez gathered the officers outside the room to give instructions. He said that some officers will be guiding the participants and at the same time scare them. Some is assigned to get some monolblock chairs to be put at the back of the Noli and Fili building they were asked to climb to the chairs and asked some questions then they were pushed. But there are persons assigned to catch them. The activity lasted for about two and half-hours.

    After the activity Mr. Martinez said that we could sleep already and that we should wake up at 6:30am so that participants can freshen up.

    At the time of 5:55am, all of the participants woke up to refresh themselves.

    By 6:30am Mr. Martinez asked the participants to go to the parking lot in front of the Fili bldg. and from three lines. Then give instructions that everyone will say simultaneous prayer or praise then read some passages from the Bible than we will face the west, east, north and south and say our prayer. And pray one Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.

    Breakfast started at 6:45am at the North Lounge. Mr. Martinez lead the prayer and also ended the prayer at 7:45am.

    After the breakfast, the participants went back to room 213 for the evaluation of the questionnaire that was given and answered last night. The ubnderstudy group was the first to be evaluated one by one. mr. Martinez said that the understudy and some of the officers will have individual evaluation in order to know them. After the understudy group the officers is the last to be evaluated.

    The evaluation ends at 10:30am, then all participants were gathered in room 216 for sharing their experiences from the activities held last night. First, Mr. Martinez asked the officers to tell what they felt during the "First Wall." Most of the answers are fear, uncertain, and feel nothing at all. Then next is the guide, they are also asked to tell what they felt in that activity while guiding. Some said that they were excited in guiding. Mr. Martinez explains the relevance of the activity. He said that he wants the participants to feel how to move or live without the light. To know how hard it is not knowing where are you really going then he associated this in leading. He said that a leader couldn't manage or lead his followers without knowing what he or she should really do, role or objectives. And also that a leader must also know how to listen to others (guide).

    Then the "Trust Fall", he explained that this activity only test the understudy group on how well or on what level or range they willing to follow their guide like a follower or member in a organization. This only shows how much they trust their officers.

    At 11:15am the sharing ends up. We proceed to the giving of gift or token to our advisers and a speech from Mr. Martinez and also a message of thanks from the president, by 11:35am the program ends.
