ABOUT THE ECO-CAMPThe 2005 National Lasallian Eco-Camp was conceived as a replacement for the “LS2K” Lasallian celebration, previously hosted by DLSU-Manila, De La Salle Lipa and De La Salle University - Dasmariñas.The Eco-Camp, with De La Salle Lipa hosting the collegiate gathering, is a project of the Federation of Lasallian Institutions (FLI) and the Lasallian Institute for the Environment (LIFE). It is jointly organized by the host school along with the six other tertiary education institutions in Luzon. A pre-camp already held on January 8, 2005 at the Br. Alfred Shields FSC Marine Station of the De La Salle University Sytem in Lian, Batangas. The camp proper, scheduled to be held at the Jamboree Site on Mount Makiling, is a three-day affair with various activities aimed at strengthening values learned in the classroom that are relevant to the conservation of the earth and its ecosystem. |
